The story is of a fourteen year old boy who joins the American navy two years before the War of 1812. His names is Lucifer T. Roberson. He has dark brown hair with unknown texture, is very pale, and has dark brown eyes.
During the first book, he gets on board a training vessel, a small sloop called Ontario.
Some distinguishing symbols of the first book are as follows(If you wish to use these as a guide): His sea chest, a lake beacon(similar to a light house), the Black Horse Inn, and a tattoo of a seagull and a compass rose.
Those are just some ideas as to what I'm looking for but you are open to try anything you like weather it be just of the character or scenery or anything you may want.
